Goonbug – Grass Specialist
In-game bio: “Goonbug trains by doing five hundred sprints every day, and knows how to pretend to be a leaf to avoid danger. The perfect embodiment of brains and brawn combined. Well. The brain part is coming along nicely, at least.”

How to use Goonbug
Deploy Goonbug in the middle or back row next to the allies it supports — buffs and heals only reach neighbours. As a Grass Tatari it should face Rock Zobos and avoid lanes with Fire Zobos — the game shows a green thumb when the match-up is right. Its skill hits an area, so it likes lanes where Zobos bunch up. Goonbug is T1 — the line gets its full kit at Beetleknight, so treat this form as a stepping stone.
Tier verdict for the Goonbug line (A): Grass Specialist that dashes with Invincibility, Knockback and Fragile; Beetleknight (T4) carries a Weaken/Boost kit. Great on boss stages; the launch code literally handed one out.
Goonbug line Horde Invasion skills
In Zobo Horde Invasion every Tatari learns three extra skills at Horde levels 3, 5 and 7; they are shared by the whole Goonbug line (only the base skill differs per form).
| Base | Bugrush: Grants invincibility and dashes forward, dealing AoE damage. |
|---|---|
| Level 3 | Vital Fumes: Attacks grant allies from behind Exhaust: DMG Boost and Exhaust: ATK Boost. |
| Level 5 | Airborne Ops: Periodically deals extra small AoE damage in the surrounding area while attacking. |
| Level 7 | Chain Charge: Periodically summons a Goonbug ally for an offensive charge. |
Horde verdict (B): Level 7 summons a Goonbug ally for charges; good burst, less team value than the Invincibility/Fragile lines.
