Clash of Critters Horde Invasion Tier List (August 2026)

Last updated: 2026-08-23

Horde Invasion ranks for v0.46 (Aug 23, 2026). Horde is a 35-wave co-op mode where every Tatari learns three extra skills at Horde levels 3, 5 and 7 that do not exist in chapters — so this list differs from the main tier list. Sources: the Horde Invasion performance section of Farlight's official Lightning guide, the Horde skill table and wave/boss rotation on the wiki.gg event page, and community Horde builds (iPICKmyBUTT, Artiar, Tap B For Baconator videos; clashcritters.com build notes). Lines not listed have no Horde-specific evidence yet — see the full Horde skill table below.

S Tier

Name Role Why
Cheerling line (Cheerling → Cheerlet → Cheerspring → Cheerstella) Lightning · Support Official guide: "an essential support for Horde Invasion" — respectable damage, ATK/DEF buffs, and at Horde skill level 5 "Just Dance" periodically grants nearby allies Invincibility; level 7 adds three zap waves with Slow/Bind/Stun. Highly recommended.
Voltfawn line (Voltfawn → Sparkdoe → Zapantler → Magnedart) Lightning · DPS "A true carry with piercing attacks that quickly eliminate enemies" (official guide). Level 3 adds spread bolts, level 5 follow-up bolts on Paralysis, level 7 a mega lance. The primary Lightning DPS for waves and bosses.
Zappur line (Zappur → Electroar → Blitzmane → Stormlion) Lightning · Support The official early-game frontliner: Knockback keeps bosses off your line and the DMG Boost aura lifts every neighbour; level 3 "Static Shock" paralyses attackers, level 7 "Lightburst" is a large AoE shockwave.
Frugling line (Frugling → Frugatoad → Frugagon → Frugantuan) Grass · DPS Level 7 "Fruit Rain" drops a torrent of exploding fruit across the front — one of the best wave-clear ultimates in the mode; Pocket Gamer's top pair with Cheerling.
Pyropup line (Pyropup → Pyrohound → Hellhound → Pyrodaemon) Fire · Guardian Level 5 "Flame Halo" rings nearby enemies with DoT and level 7 "Hellflame" keeps summoning flame pillars around it — a frontline that clears its own lane. Counters the Grass bosses at waves 4, 8, 16, 20, 24, 28, 35.
