Clash of Critters Marathon Party Guide: Skateboards

How it plays

Skateboards drop from the bottom mid-right pinball slot (1 per hit at x1). In the event, each board spins a wheel of distances from 1 m to 20 m — one slot is “Free” (a bonus spin plus 5 m) — and the wheel can carry a multiplier that rises with your current board count, so spend in bursts. You choose one of your Tatari as your runner; it is cosmetic (unlike Zobo Shooter, the choice has no effect), and a Tatari does not need to be the visible runner to get Marathon credit for its trial.

Rewards

Rewards sit on the track (pinballs, candy, Wishboxes, capsules) and at the finish by team rank. The recorded (older) placement table runs from 1st: 3k pinballs, 270k candy, 60 capsules … 10th: 900 pinballs, 121k candy … 41st–45th: 110 pinballs, 27k candy, 10 capsules — and the wiki notes the current placement rewards are higher than the predecessor “Marathon Star”. Snowboard Sprint is the winter-themed version with snowboards instead of skateboards; trials count both.

Trials it serves

  • Water T3: 2,000 skateboards/snowboards (or 2,000 fishing rods).
  • Fire T3: 2,000 skateboards/snowboards (or 2,000 Cozy Farm fertilizer).
  • Lightning T4 steps (official guide): “participate in either Marathon Party or Fishing Contest”.
  • Older trials referenced distance (“move 5,000 m”, “2,500 m”) — replaced in the Nov 2025 rework.

Easter eggs

Three recorded: you and a teammate running Charflutter and Rockzilla (both T3) makes Charflutter sleep on Rockzilla’s head; three runners on Funglet, Cheerspring and Manteeny (or their evolutions) spawn fans with glowsticks; Capywata and Gibber at T1 puts Capywata on Gibber’s back.
